Triangle Road Campground FAQs
Area 20 is located just north of Halfmoon Bay Campground and east of Umpqua Dunes RV Park.
Each pass is $300.
Each camping pass is good for six days and five nights starting at noon on Tuesday, September 3rd and ending at noon on Sunday, September 8th, 2024.
Camping passes can be pre-purchased through our website by using the link on this page. If campsites do not sell out before the event, passes can be purchased at the entry gate when you arrive. Traditionally, these campsites sell out quickly once available for sale.
No. Camping passes and event entry wristbands are sold separately. We did this to keep the cost as cheap as possible and wanted to make sure each participant only has to purchase what they needed.
You can pre-purchase wristbands through the website for $50 or purchase them at the gate. We recommend purchasing them through the website to help reduce wait times at the gate.
Yes. Please be aware that everyone in your vehicle will need wristbands to get through the entry gate to access your camping spot. These wristbands may be pre-purchased through our website for $50 each or obtained at the entry gate during the event. Kids 12 and under are always free!
The event starts at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, but you can check in starting Tuesday, September 3 at 12:00 PM PT (noon).
All participants are asked to clean their sites and fire pits and check out by 12:00 PM PT (noon) on Sunday, September 8th.
Yes, each vehicle will need a pass. The County has a land-use agreement that only allows a certain number of vehicles in the area at any given time. We monitor the number of vehicles by limiting the number of passes we sell. Vehicle passes will be checked at the gate before you enter this area.
Dozers are not required in this area.
No flags or additional ORV tags are required on your vehicles to access campsites in Area 20. Flags and ORV tags are required only when you enter the dunes.
Area 20 can be accessed by cars/trucks will enter the lot from main entrance located off Salmon Harbor Drive. There they will be greeted by our Camp Host and directed to the camping area. This will allow our team to check wristbands and vehicle passes and inform the participants of any event or camping specific rules for this area. County campground rules will be maintained.
OHVs must use one of the two UTV routes to access the event and riding area – one route is located at the West end of Triangle Road and will connect users into Half Moon Bay Campground where they can safely cross Salmon Harbor Drive. The second route is at the East end of Triangle Road and will connect users to the dunes access trail parallel to Salmon Harbor Drive.
No, Area 20 campsites are dry camping sites located on the road. You will need to bring your own water. We recommend filling your tanks in Reedsport before heading south to Winchester Bay. Gray/Blackwater is not permitted to be dumped on the ground. If you need your tanks dumped or filled during the event, please call Roto-Rooter at (541) 290-0775. They will be camped on the sand and would be happy to service your trailer for a small fee.
Campfires are allowed in this area. Campers are required to provide and use above ground fire pits or fire rings. Participants are required to follow all County and local rules concerning safe campfire operations. This includes temporary burn bans that may be in effect during the event. Glass bottles and pallets are not allowed in the camping area or in the firepits. Any trash, debris and unused firewood remaining at the end of the event must be taken with you when you leave. Please help us leave this area better than we found it!
Area 20 will have access to one (1) 30-yard dumpster, located near the entrance. We ask that all participants help keep the dunes clean by using this dumpster during the event.
Area 20 will have access to three (3) portable restrooms and one (1) handwash station, located near the entrance. Showers are not available in this area, but campers will have access to showers located in Half Moon Bay.
Areas 20 will NOT have a Campground Host. However, this area will be monitored throughout the event by our UTV Takeover security team.
